Overview

This page describes how Rigwire (operated in connection with iBall Instruments LLC) approaches information collected through the public website at rigwire.com and related online services made available to customers. It includes our SMS program terms and conditions and privacy-related disclosures for text messaging. It is provided for transparency and customer support; it is not a substitute for a signed agreement that may govern your specific deployment or data handling.

Information we may collect

  • Account and session data. When you sign in or use customer features, we may process identifiers needed to operate the service (for example, account or session tokens, equipment identifiers you associate with your account, and technical logs used for security and troubleshooting).
  • Operational data. Data transmitted from or about your equipment through Rigwire services is processed to provide the functionality you have enabled (such as monitoring, alarms, notifications, and reporting).
  • Contact information you provide. For example, phone numbers or email addresses you enter for alerts, support requests, or account recovery.
  • Technical metadata. Such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and similar HTTP or application logs needed to run and protect the service.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Rigwire products and services;
  • Authenticate users, prevent abuse, and protect the security of systems and customers;
  • Deliver notifications you configure (including optional SMS or other messaging channels where supported and where you have opted in);
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about service changes when appropriate.

SMS program terms and conditions

This section describes the Rigwire SMS alert program operated by iBall Instruments LLC in connection with Rigwire equipment monitoring services. It is intended to meet industry standards for U.S. SMS programs, including disclosures required for short-code and application-to-person (A2P) messaging, as described in Twilio’s industry standards for U.S. short-code terms of service and the CTIA Short Code Monitoring Handbook.

Program name: Rigwire

Program sponsor: iBall Instruments LLC

Program description: Equipment alarm and warning SMS alerts for Rigwire gas detection, chromatograph, and related monitoring services you enable in your account.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on equipment alarms, warnings, and tests you configure. You may also receive occasional service or confirmation messages related to your SMS settings.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier with questions about your plan.

Customer care: Technical support 405-570-4449; general contact 405-341-2434; email support@iballinst.com.

Help: For assistance, reply HELP to the number from which you received a Rigwire message, or contact customer care using the information above.

Opt-out: You can cancel SMS alerts at any time by replying STOP (or equivalent carrier-supported keywords such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT) to the number from which you received the message, or by disabling SMS notifications in your Rigwire account settings and saving your changes.

Consent and enrollment

Rigwire sends SMS messages only to phone numbers you provide and only after you take an affirmative step to enroll—for example, by enabling SMS notifications in your Rigwire account, entering one or more mobile numbers for alarms or warnings, and saving those settings. Enrollment is limited to the Rigwire alert program described above; we do not obtain consent for unrelated marketing programs through the same opt-in. You represent that you are the wireless account holder or that you have permission from the account holder to enroll each number you provide.

When you enroll, you may receive a confirmation or test message verifying your subscription. By enrolling, you agree to these SMS program terms and to our privacy practices described on this page.

How the program works

After enrollment, Rigwire may send SMS messages when your configured equipment conditions trigger alarms or warnings, when you request a test message, or when needed to operate or confirm your SMS settings. Message content may include equipment identifiers, alert types, timestamps, and instructions relevant to the notification. We do not sell your personal information or mobile opt-in data, and we do not share or rent opt-in lists for third-party messaging.

STOP (opt-out)

You may opt out at any time by texting STOP to the Rigwire sender number shown in your message. After we process your request, we will send a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and no further program messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Opt-out requests using normal language (for example, “stop,” “end,” “unsubscribe,” “cancel,” or “quit”) are also honored. We maintain an internal suppression list so that opted-out numbers do not receive further Rigwire alert messages.

HELP

Text HELP to the Rigwire sender number for support information. We will respond with the program name, a brief description of the alert service, message-frequency disclosure, the “message and data rates may apply” notice, instructions to text STOP to cancel, and customer care contact information (telephone or email). HELP requests are answered whether or not you are currently subscribed.

Re-subscribing

If you opt out and later wish to receive alerts again, re-enroll using the same method as your original signup (enable SMS in your Rigwire account, add your number, and save). Sending STOP does not delete your Rigwire account; it stops SMS delivery to that number until you opt in again.

Delivery and carriers

SMS delivery depends on your carrier’s network coverage and capacity. Messages may be delayed or undelivered when your device is out of range, when networks are congested, or due to factors outside our control (including device settings, terrain, buildings, foliage, and weather). Urgent safety alerts may not reach you in time; do not rely on SMS as your only safety or shutdown mechanism. Participating carriers include major U.S. wireless providers and their prepaid brands where messaging is supported; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Records and legal compliance

We retain opt-in and opt-out records as needed to demonstrate consent, honor suppression requests, and meet legal and industry obligations. Rigwire SMS programs are intended for business and operational use by adults; they are not directed to children under 13. Your use of SMS features may also be subject to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), carrier rules, and other applicable law in addition to these terms.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may use subprocessors (such as hosting, messaging, or analytics providers) to operate the service, subject to confidentiality and security obligations appropriate to the data involved. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of customers and systems.

Security

We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; you should use strong credentials and protect access to your accounts and equipment.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may depend on the type of data and your relationship with us.

Your choices

Where applicable law grants you rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, you may contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your request and may be unable to fulfill requests that conflict with law or legitimate business needs.

Children’s privacy

Rigwire services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this page

We may update this policy page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the website or services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated page, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
