- All file, database, and LAS actions apply to the selected serial.
Left column
- Upload File: send a file to this serial's folder on the server.
- Generate LAS Files: configure format options and curves, then generate LAS 2.0 or LAS 3.0 output into the serial folder.
Right column
- Files for this serial number: table of files with open, download, and delete actions; database download and start-new-database controls.
- Well Information: header fields and notes saved per serial for LAS export.
SERIAL NUMBER
Select the instrument serial number from the drop-down at the top of the page.
Uploads, file listings, database actions, LAS generation, and well information all use this serial.
Changing the serial reloads that unit's saved LAS options, well information, and file list.
FILES LAS HELP
Opens this help document in a new browser tab.
UPLOAD FILE
Choose a file with the file picker, then click Upload File.
A serial number must be selected first. After a successful upload, the file list on the right refreshes automatically. Status messages appear below the upload controls.
GENERATE LAS FILES
Builds a LAS file from the Rigwire database for the selected serial and saves it in that serial's folder. Use Generate LAS 2.0 or Generate LAS 3.0 to pick the output format.
While generation is running, a progress message appears below the buttons.
When complete, the new LAS file appears in the file list.
LAS Format / Options
Add LAS Header
When checked, includes standard LAS header sections in the output file.
Fix Voids
When checked, fills or corrects void (missing) depth intervals in the generated data where possible.
Add Well Information To LAS File
When checked, embeds the saved Well Information fields (see below) into the LAS header.
ROP Units
Rate of penetration as Min/Ft or Ft/Hr.
C Value Units
Chromatograph C-value curves in gas units or PPM.
Delimiter
Tab, comma, or space delimited data section.
Add Time/Date To LAS
Includes time and date columns in the LAS data when checked.
Gas Units In PPM
Writes gas curve values in PPM when checked.
Depth Range
Check "Only generate LAS between" and enter start and end depths in feet to limit output to that interval. Leave unchecked to export the full available depth range.
LAS Included Curves
Depth Reference
Choose Hole Depth, Time Lag Depth, or Stroke Lag Depth as the primary depth index for the LAS file.
Primary Curves
Rate Of Penetration, Total Gas, Oxygen, CO2, Helium, H2S.
Additional Curves
Inclination, Azimuth, Gamma, and C-value curves (Methane through N Butane).
Extra Curves
RecordA through RecordF custom record fields when present in the database.
LAS option and curve selections are saved automatically per serial number in your browser so they are restored when you return to that unit.
FILES FOR THIS SERIAL NUMBER
Shows all files stored in the server folder for the selected serial.
Name
Click a file name to open it in a new browser tab.
Date
Last modified date and time on the server.
Size
File size (bytes, KB, MB, or GB).
Action
Delete - moves the file to the Archive folder after confirmation.
Download Database
Downloads a copy of the active database for this serial.
Start New Database \ Job
Archives the current active database and starts a fresh one. You must confirm before this action runs. Use when beginning a new job or well on the same instrument.
WELL INFORMATION
Stores LAS header metadata for the selected serial. Fields include company, well, field, location, regulatory IDs, rig information, date logged, and contact text areas for logging company, lead geologist, and logger details.
SAVE INFO.
Saves well information to the server for the current serial.
RESET INFO.
Clears the form fields on screen (does not delete saved server data until you save again).
When "Add Well Information To LAS File" is checked under LAS options, this saved information is written into generated LAS files.
SETTINGS PERSISTENCE
LAS format options and curve checkboxes are stored in browser local storage per serial number and restored when you select that serial again.
Well information is stored on the server per serial and loaded when you change to that unit.
TIPS
- Select the correct serial before uploading or generating LAS files.
- Save Well Information once per job so LAS headers stay consistent.
- Use depth range limits for partial exports when only a section is needed.
- After generating LAS, open the file from the list to verify curves and header content before sending to the client or third-party software.
- Use Start New Database \ Job at the beginning of a new well, not mid-run, unless you intend to archive the current database.
