PAGE LAYOUT
Top status row
- CG Cycle Countdown: seconds until the next automatic data refresh.
- Record n / n: current record index and total record count.
- Serial number drop-down, CHROMATOGRAPH HELP button, and REALTIME DATA.
Left column - CG Output
- Chromatograph trace chart (detector voltage vs. time through the cycle).
- Navigation buttons, record slider, and SAVE PDF TO FILES.
Right column - CG Data
- Color legend for gas component trace segments.
- Detailed numeric readout for the displayed record (injection time, column conditions, gas units, component GU/PPM, peak times, and chart meta).
SERIAL NUMBER
Select the instrument serial number from the drop-down in the top toolbar.
All chromatograph data and exports use this serial.
Changing the serial reloads chromatograph records for that unit, starting at the most recent record.
CHROMATOGRAPH HELP
Opens this help document in a new browser tab.
CG CYCLE COUNTDOWN
The page automatically refreshes chromatograph data every 60 seconds.
While you are browsing older records (BACK, FORWARD, or Record slider), a 30-second manual hold keeps the current record on screen instead of jumping to the newest record when the countdown reaches zero.
Click CURRENT to clear the hold and jump to the latest record immediately.
RECORD NAVIGATION
BACK
Load the previous (older) chromatograph record.
FORWARD
Load the next (newer) chromatograph record.
CURRENT
Jump to the newest available record and resume automatic follow-live refresh.
Record slider
Drag to move quickly through the record index. The chart and CG Data panel update shortly after you stop moving the slider.
Record n / n (status text)
Shows which record you are viewing out of the total stored for this serial.
CG OUTPUT CHART
The chart plots detector voltage through the chromatograph cycle:
- Blue baseline reference line at baseline volts.
- Main trace in blue with color-coded segments for each gas component (HE, C1, C2, C3, IC4, NC4, IC5, NC5).
- Pale vertical fills from trace to baseline in segment colors.
- Black vertical markers at detected peaks with offset labels.
- Title shows "Chromatograph Trace" and the injection timestamp.
Segment colors match the legend in the CG Data panel. If insufficient points exist, the chart shows a "Not enough data" message.
CG DATA PANEL
For the current record, the right panel shows:
Header
Injection Time, Serial, Packet number, Cycle counter.
Column / sample
Column Temp F, Column Pressure mmHg, Gas Units, O2 Percent, CO2 Percent.
Component values (color-coded labels)
HE PPM, C1 through NC5 gas units (GU).
Peak times (seconds)
HE, C1, C2, C3, IC4, NC4, IC5, NC5 peak times and Good Peak Count.
Chart-derived peaks
Peak Volts and Offset for each detected peak on the trace.
Chart metadata
Baseline Volts, Y Min / Y Max, Point Count, Not Enough Data flag.
SAVE PDF TO FILES
Creates a PDF snapshot of the current chart image and CG data text for the selected serial and saves it on the server.
A serial number and loaded chromatograph data are required. After a successful save, use the Files page (main menu) for that serial to view or download the PDF.
REALTIME DATA
Opens a live realtime instrument data window for the selected serial number.
OPENING A SPECIFIC RECORD (URL)
The page accepts optional URL parameters when opened from another Rigwire view (for example, clicking CGVolts on the Gas Chart):
serial=NNNN - instrument serial number pktnum=NNNN - open the chromatograph record matching that packet number
If pktnum is supplied, that record is loaded instead of the default newest record.
TIPS
- Use CURRENT after reviewing history to return to the live CG cycle.
- Compare peak Sec values and trace shape when troubleshooting component identification or baseline drift.
- Save PDF to Files before handoff to archive a specific injection.
- From Gas Chart, click near the CGVolts trace to open this page for the matching packet when CGVolts is enabled on the chart.
