ANY ACTIVE ALARMS

The Active conditions list shows all current warnings and alarms across serial numbers. Each row includes:

Timer - seconds remaining before the condition may escalate or clear (server managed countdown).

Message - serial number and alarm description.

IGNORE - suppress further action for this condition until it clears. When ignored, the button shows IGNORED and blinks.

MUTE - silence audible chimes for this condition. Shows MUTED when active (also used when ignored). Green MUTE when not muted; red MUTE when muted.

Reload in: 10s counts down to the next automatic refresh of the active list.

Reset Timers

Resets server-side alarm timers for all active conditions.

Warning rows appear in yellow; alarm rows appear in red. When no conditions are active, the list shows "No active alarms or warnings."

A colored alarm bar may also appear at the top of other Rigwire pages when warnings or alarms are active site-wide.

SET ALARMS - ALARM TYPES

Each panel has an Enable alarm checkbox unless noted. When enabled, live readouts may appear (saved depth, current depth, current gas units, etc.).

Live values refresh about every 10 seconds while relevant panels are enabled.

Lost connection to WITS

Alarms when WITS data from the field client is lost.

Lost connection to Rigwire

Alarms when the Rigwire instrument link is lost.

Hole depth change

Alarms when hole depth increases beyond the saved depth reference. Shows saved depth and current depth when enabled.

Long drilling depth

Alarms when hole depth has not increased by at least 1.1 ft within the configured number of minutes. Set "Minutes without new depth" (default 30).

Hole depth is greater than

Alarms when current hole depth exceeds the depth threshold you enter (feet).

Warning gas units

Warning-level alert when total gas units reach or exceed the threshold.

High gas units

Alarm-level alert when total gas units reach or exceed the higher threshold.

Future time / date

Alarms when the current local date and time passes the trigger date/time you set. The trigger must be in the future when you save. Shows current time and time remaining while enabled.

Test alarms

Warning test / Alarm test checkboxes trigger test conditions. Play Warning Chime / Play Alarm Chime preview the sound files used on site.

SAVE ALARM SETTINGS

After changing any Set Alarms checkbox or numeric field, Save Alarm Settings blinks to remind you to save.

Click Save Alarm Settings to store preferences for the selected serial on the server. A status message confirms success or reports validation errors (for example, missing or past future date/time).

Settings are not applied until saved.

SMS NOTIFICATIONS

Enroll for SMS alerts

Check the agreement box and enter up to three 10-digit US mobile numbers. You must confirm you are the account holder or have permission to enroll each number.

Test (per number)

Sends a test SMS to that phone when enrollment is enabled and the number is valid. Disabled until requirements are met.

Save SMS Settings

Stores SMS enrollment and phone numbers on the server. The button blinks when unsaved changes exist.

Numbers shown in red have opted out via STOP; update enrollment or contact support as described in the disclosures.

Program disclosures include message frequency, rates, customer care contacts, HELP/STOP instructions, and links to SMS terms and privacy policy.

Note: Outbound SMS may be limited until carrier A2P campaign approval is complete.

TIPS

- Configure thresholds per serial before drilling; click Save Alarm Settings.

  • Use Test alarms and Play Chime buttons to verify audio on your workstation.
  • IGNORE is for conditions you are aware of; MUTE stops chimes without clearing the underlying condition.
  • Keep SMS numbers current and use Test after changing enrollment.
  • Watch Any Active Alarms for fleet-wide status without switching serials.
