The Rigwire Equipment

More powerful, useful, and flexible than the Bloodhound, The Rigwire is made from 6061 billet aluminum. The Rigwire Gas Detector and Chromatograph system is a new clean sheet design of an industry requirement and need for an easily utilized, solid, robust, small, compact, environmentally hardened, accurate and reliable compact system to monitor gasses, the drilling, operation, production and safety in the field, plant, or distribution of all your natural resources.
The creation and implementation of this new type of instrument is the culmination of the last 25 years brought together in a small lightweight usable platform intended to replace older and less reliable field equipment.

The Rigwire is designed for, but not limited to, two primary roles.
(1) The first is to directly and actively plug-and-play replace the current problematic Pason® Gas Detector systems found on hundreds of active wells all over the world.
(2) The second is to replace older, inaccurate, and antiquated gas detection equipment in the field for monitoring, mud logging, management, and safety.

Legacy Bloodhound Equipment

NOTICE: The Bloodhound gas detection and Chromatograph logging system is now integrated into the Rigwire Platform.

The Bloodhound gas detection and logging system is based on patented next generation infrared sensors that are light years ahead of the older hotwire, FID or Pelister based gas sensors. No other mud logging gas detection system uses this technology that makes it possible to create a system without peer in sensitivity, precision chromatography, reliability, portability, ruggedness, accuracy, and ease of use.

The Bloodhound® can interface with WITS equipped drilling rigs to log all other drilling operations data along with collected gas sample data. Both WITS and sample gas data can be encrypted and sent through the internet to our secure servers via ethernet or the on board 4G cellular card. Authorized users can log into our secure Multiview web site and view the status of dozens of drilling operations in near real time, or view more detailed information and gas charts on any selected drill site with just a few mouse clicks. The system can be configured to send a text message if something goes wrong like a clogged gas sample line or loss of power. In addition to identifying the hydrocarbons coming in from the sample line, the Bloodhound® can also identify and measure Oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide.

Some users of the web site data viewing also like to watch the real time numbers come in over the internet. This small program displays data that is 6 seconds old and gives real meaning to the term “Real Time.” The program is written in VB6 and is backward compatible to Microsoft Windows and tested on all Microsoft windows products.

WITS Simulator System

This WITS simulator is an easy way to test your WITS system directly from your computer. This software will talk to your Bloodhound through an available computer serial port. Just connect a null modem cable from any available serial port on your computer and the Bloodhound serial WITS connector, select the serial port that it is connected to, and hit the start button.

This policy is in regards to the Hydrogen Sulfide detector manufactured by e2v that the Bloodhound uses. The sensors we use have proven to be highly stable, reliable, and functional over a long periods of time. In all cases, if the Bloodhound detects the presence of Hydrogen Sulfide, it is to be treated as true Hydrogen Sulfide gas extracted directly from the sample drilling fluid.
