1) The first step in rebooting the Bloodhound is to shut it completely off. Here is the best
method for doing this when rebooting the unit. We are going to power the Bloodhound
down using the "START/STOP" method - here is how:
a) Remove the power cord from the Bloodhound on the left side. For an example of where
the Power Cord is plugged into the Bloodhound, see the following figure:
b) The Bloodhound will remain on, and running on its internal battery backup power.
It may even throw an alarm if it is set. This is normal.
c) Press the "START/STOP" key in the upper-left corner of the Bloodhound's Logic
Panel on the face of the Bloodhound (the key is shown in the figure below):
d) The Bloodhound should now power down normally.
2) Now we power the Bloodhound back on to complete the reboot:
a) Open the Bloodhound and look on the underside of the lid to find the soft pouch which
has the iBall Instruments logo embossed in it (see figure below for the location of this pouch).
b) Find the 120V AC power cord - it looks like a common power cord that you find
on any number of common household appliances, or on computer products. For an
example of this cord's ends, see the figure below:
c) Plug the pronged end of this cord into a working 120V/AC outlet, and the other end
into the power-port on the left hand side of the Bloodhound. This port's location is
identified in the following figure:
d) The Bloodhound should now power on normally - you can verify it by looking at the
LCD after the power up procedure is completed. The data on the display should look
something like this:
Congratulations! You now know how to locally reset/reboot the Bloodhound!
