PREREQUSITES:
These are the requirements before setting register values locally on the Bloodhound:
1) You must be at the location with the bloodhound - this is not a remote tutorial.
HOW-TO:
1) Double-check which register it is you want to change. There is a table of register
values located in the Bloodhound Manual under Appendix B. You should find a
Bloodhound Manual in the pouch on the underside of the lid of your Bloodhound, or
can download the latest manual version from https://iballinst.com/
under the "The Instrument" section (scroll all the way down and the downloads are
on the bottom-right of the page).
2) Note that the right two buttons on the face of the Bloodhound are "connected" with
a screen-printed line on the face which says "MENU". Press thse "up" and "down"
arrow buttons together to bring up a menu.
3) Use the "up" and "down" arrow buttons to go to the "register SETUP" menu item.
4) Press the "Enter/Mute" button to select this menu.
5) Use the "up" and "down" arrow buttons to go to the register which you wish to
check or set a new value.
6) If you are just "checking" the value of a register:
a) You can read the value underneath the currently selected register at this point, and
b) Proceed to Step 8 below.
7) If you want to "set" the value of a register:
a) Press the "Enter/Mute" button to enter the "registar edit" mode.
b) Use the "up" and "down" arrow buttons to change the value to whatever the new.
c) Press the "Enter/Mute" button, and watch closely to verify that the word "SET"
appears. (This verifies that the register has been set).
d) OPTIONAL: You can verify the value of the register by following steps 1 through
6 above to determine its current value.
e) Proceed to Step 8 below.
8) Either press the "START/STOP" key to exit the register setup screen, or just wait about
10 seconds and the Bloodhound will revert back to the main display on its own.
Congratulations! You have used the Bloodhound's Face Buttons to check or set a
register Value!
